Loch Lomond "Madeira Cask" Single Malt Scotch Whisky

An elegant and well-balanced single malt whisky from the versatile Loch Lomond Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. This edition combines the distillery's signature fruity style with the complex sweetness and nutty depth that only a finish in Madeira wine casks can add.

The whisky begins its journey with a classic maturation in American oak casks, which adds soft vanilla notes, honey sweetness and mild spices. It is then transferred to ex-Madeira casks, where it spends around 6 months. Madeira is a fortified wine from the archipelago of the same name, and the casks that previously contained this wine add an extra layer of dried fruits, nuts and vinous sweetness to the whisky, which melds with the spirit’s natural character.
