Domaine L&R Kox Auxerrois 2023 – Remich, Luxembourg

Domaine Kox Auxerrois 2023 is made from the Auxerrois grape, which is actually related to the Pinot grape.
Winelab writes: A mostly anonymous but quite widespread grape from Northern France. The name probably comes from Auxois, an old name for Alsace, where the grape originates. The variety is a natural cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc. The name Auxerrois has confusingly also been used for Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, all three close family members and easy to confuse with Auxerrois. Furthermore, it should not be confused with Malbec, which also goes by the name Auxerrois in Cahors.
Auxerrois has low acidity and produces soft but also fairly neutral wines. Its strength lies in its early ripening and good yields. It is used for both white wine and crémant.
