La Follese is the flagship wine from Ron Sanchez – created with care, vision and uncompromising quality. This wine is made from selected casks from Dijon clones 113, 114 and 115, grown in the prestigious Yamhill-Carlton AVA in Oregon. A wine that was first produced in 2015, it has since become Ron Sanchez's most ambitious project.

Each clone is vinified separately, with the grapes destemmed and lightly crushed before fermentation on the special Assmanhausen yeast from Germany. This yeast strain starts slowly while allowing the natural wild yeast cells to contribute, giving extra depth and complexity. Fermentation typically lasts 10–14 days without pre-maceration.

After fermentation, the wine is aged for a full 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels, custom-made to Ron Sanchez's own wishes. Only then is the final blend put together - only 150 cases of this exclusive wine produced.

The name La Follesse comes from an old French expression for "repeated folly" – an apt image of the persistent pursuit of perfection that characterizes the work with Pinot Noir year after year.
