Sélection de Grains Nobles is a refinement of Vendange tardive, which is a sweet wine produced exclusively in Alsace. SGN contains even more sugar than Vendange Tardive. The grapes will therefore often be affected by botrytis (noble rot)
This Pinot Gris was produced in the unusual year of 2017. Forged by the weather in a mild late season.
Without rain, the season was ideal for the development of noble rot. only 650 bottles have been produced worldwide! The grapes come from 40-year-old vines.
Its opulent golden yellow color and very expressive nose are characterized by notes of acacia honey. On the palate, this wine is rich and bold, with a nice acidity on the finish. A round gourmet wine with a lovely note of freshness.
