Ökonomirat Lind Weissburgunder Orange Selection Noir got its slightly special name because dyes from the grape skins have given it a nice and very special colour. Interesting Weisburgunder with scent of Belle de Boskoop apples and spices, taste of ripe apples, raisins, quinces and pears. Dry, medium acid, unfiltered and organic. Suitable for light meat and charcuterie with salt, especially air-dried hams and sausages. Creamy cheeses and mild blue cheeses can also be good with orange wine. Fish is another obvious option, raw or cooked. The wine is made according to an age-old method: Orange wine is wine that is made by fermenting the must together with the grape skins from the green grapes. In the same way as with red wine, aroma, color and tannic acid are extracted here, and the orange wine gets more body and structure than the usual white wine. When the skins from the green grapes are fermented with the must, dyes are released and the wine takes on an orange tinge. Hence the term orange wine. Good durability due to the acid. Fermented for 4 weeks in open vats. Ökonomirat Lind has run their vineyard organically since 1985!
