Ron Cristobal Niña is a premium rum from the Dominican Republic, produced by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, founded in 2007 with the aim of creating high quality rums. The company was established by two Dominican families and rum producers who combined their experience to produce rums based on local sugar crops. The sugar canes are carefully selected and the juice is extracted from mills, resulting in full-bodied, complex and sweet rums that reflect the tropical climate of the Dominican Republic

The Niña was one of three ships used by Christopher Columbus to cross the Atlantic in 1492. The other two ships were the Santa Maria and the Pinta.

The Niña was actually called Santa Clara, but its nickname was Niña. Niña accompanied Columbus to America on several adventures, but due to lack of money and mutiny in the New World, he had to sell the ship. Today, its fate is unknown.
