Stairs n Roses Rotweiss Concinnity 2022 – Mosel, Germany

A dry and barrel-aged white wine that impresses with its complexity and unique composition of both white and red Riesling (approx. 70% white and 30% red). The grapes come from the renowned vineyards Kinheimer Rosenberg and Kinheimer Römerhang in the Mosel. The wine has been aged in barrel for 18 months, which gives it a full structure and an exciting balance between fruitiness and barrel character.

The aroma profile offers tropical fruits such as mango, lime, pineapple and peach, while the taste appears ripe with notes of apricot, honey, caramel, toasted almonds and a light vanilla note. The wine has an oily and creamy mouthfeel with a deep, concentrated fruit intensity and a harmonious finish.

In the glass the wine is clearly darker (than Rotweiss Symphony) ... and the aroma is also more mature with more tertiary notes. There is some petroleum and light turpentine, linseed oil, buttery and deliciously oiled with a tropical fruit that is mostly apricots, peach, mango, papaya and a little honey, caramel and a hint of some roasted almonds and vanilla ... it smells simply excellent.
The taste also seems ripe, deep and thoughtful ... oily, creamy and slightly waxy, where the fruit is intense, concentrated, dense and masculine with weight, fatness and dark power. There are ripe apples, candied lemons and dried apricots ... body, ripeness and cryo-concentrated apple juice for adults and Concinnity is skillful and harmonious, so therefore 94 points.
