Vigne Matte Bella Gioia Glera Spumante Extra Dry Millesimato – Veneto, Italy

Bella Gioia from Vigne Matte is a sparkling wine that unites tradition, finesse and modern winemaking techniques in one seductive expression. This Extra Dry Spumante is made from 100% Glera grapes and produced as a Millesimato, meaning it is made from one selected vintage – a guarantee of character and quality.

The wine is produced in Rolle, a historic village in the heart of the hilly landscape of Veneto, north of Venice. Here, Vigne Matte grows its grapes at an altitude of approximately 280 meters on south- and west-facing terraces. This provides optimal sun conditions and a unique microclimate, which is ideal for the delicate Glera grape. The soil consists of sandy clay, which contributes to the elegant minerality of the wine.

The grapes are handpicked in September and selected with great care. After a gentle pressing, only 70% of the finest must is used. The first fermentation takes place with natural yeast strains from the house's own fields. The wine is then second fermented using the Charmat method (also known as the Martinotti method) - a classic method for sparkling wine, where the second fermentation takes place in pressure tanks to preserve the fresh, fruity character of the grapes.
